There are several movies I remember seeing the previews for and thought to myself ‘Oh I want to see that!’ but never got around to it. Those are the movies I’ll pay money to rent. There are however those movies where you see the preview and you think, “Really? Would anyone really pay to see that?” Well the other night sitting around with some friends we were going through a list of horror movies online. The popular ones we’d seen but of course there were a few low budget unpopular ones we had never even heard of.
Our interests were not peaked enough that we would want to actually go rent these no name horror flicks so we found a way to get a 5 minute overview of the entire plot. Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia with little credit to its named because anyone can post anything they’d like to about a topic. Simply by searching the title of a movie we wanted to ‘watch’, really read, we were able to get an entire recap of the movie courtesy of well anyone who wrote on the link.
One movie we had heard of but never had any intention of seeing is Silent Hill.
Fandango.com Movie Overview: “Rose cannot accept that her daughter, Sharon, has a fatal disease. Against her husband's will, she flees with her child, with the intention of taking her to a faith healer. Along the way, she drives through a portal in reality, which lands her in the deserted town of Silent Hill. Rose loses Sharon there, and she follows what she believes to be the silhouette of her daughter all over town.”
After reading a preview of a movie we decided it wasn’t worth ruining the entire movie and looking good enough that we would rent it. Haven’t had a chance to see it yet but it’s on my list now. Not to say it’s probably not predictable or anything but kids do creepy pretty well. We’ll see…

I really like this blog!! The sites that provide movie overviews are a huge help. I can read the summary and decide if I want to pay all that money to see it in theatres or wait until I can rent it. The overviews have frequently made my decision much easier. I look forward to seeing your website! You can check mine out at: http://thegoodbadanduglyofroommates.webs.com/
