Movies are a passion of mine, I may not know everything there is to know but I certainly have my own personal opinion. I’m willing to watch just about any movie there is but I must say the cast plays a big part in choosing a movie for me. I’m really impressed when an on-screen duo is so successful they are used again in other movies. For example Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio were just used for the second time together in Revolutionary Road after their first VERY successful appearance together in Titanic. I have yet to see Revolutionary Road but it’s on my list. Another on-screen duo that has been featured numerous time are Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. This pair starred in Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail. Of course there is always Julia Roberts and Richard Gere who made their mark as a delightful on-screen couple in Pretty Woman followed by another hit Runaway Bride.
Keeping with the romance theme a movie I would recommend renting this weekend is Sex and the City. Although you may not follow the TV show religiously there the movie allows anyone unfamiliar with the show a peek into why the show attracts as many viewers as it does. Stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon were given a B+ rating for this romantic drama. It is rated R and runs about 2 ½ hours.
