There is a list published of movies that are ‘the worst movies ever made’ which did terrible in the box office and never became too popular with audiences. On this list is Waterworld starring Kevin Costner. I’ve seen it a couple times I have to say it’s not the best movie ever but its originality seems like it doesn’t belong on the worst movies ever list either. The reason I bring this up is that one of my good friends is utterly obsessed with the movie. Every time someone is like oh what should be watch, his first response is always Waterworld. You may think he’s being sarcastic or just saying that to be funny. However, that’s not the case. He’s being serious, he loves the movie and could watch it everyday, and in fact I’m sure if we agreed to watch it with him he would watch it everyday.
K this one is not as bad as Waterworld but the Waterworld guy’s roommate is obsessed with Speed. Just the original he’s not a fan of the sequel. Just like his roommate if you ever ask what movie he wants to put in it’s always Speed. Now Speed is a relatively good movie and has some pretty good quotable moments and a few big names in it. He was disappointed with the sequel and even pretends it never happened. He’s a pretty big movie buff and doesn’t appreciate when a cast is changed in a second installment. Replacing Keeanu Reeves in the sequel crushed him.
If you’re looking for a movie that wouldn’t normally come to mind when you’re thinking of what to watch check out one of these. I don’t mind watching either of them but not everyday as these boys suggest. Waterworld is relatively entertaining but can drag on a little bit, it’s pretty original with a few big names in it also.
